Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow Foundation

Shishiedo Foundation

I’ve been trying out the new Shiseido foundation for the past few days, and I have to say that I have been loving it! It’s perfect for days when you want medium coverage with some (but not too much) glow.

I purchased this foundation when Sephora had a number of Shiseido products on sale. I honestly had never heard anything about this foundation, as it was too new, so I decided to buy it and try it out. (I also purchased the Hanatsubaki Hake Polishing Face Brush at the same time, because this is one of my absolute favorite makeup brushes, and it can’t hurt to have more than one!).

When I first pumped the foundation onto the back of my hand, I was surprised. I actually expected it to be more of a serum foundation as I find that many “radiant” foundations have that serum texture. This is definitely a liquid foundation and when applying, and it has medium coverage. It blended easily, had a skin-like finish, it was virtually invisible on my skin and stayed looking great for 10 hours before I experienced slight creasing. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the wear time! For reference, I applied it over the Tatcha Silk Canvas primer and added a light layer of the Westman Atelier pressed powder over it in the T-zone.

For reference, I purchased two colors, (140 – Porcelain and 150 – Lace) and ended up choosing 150 – Lace. I found the 140 to have a bit too much peach for my skin tone.

If you are looking for a new foundation with a medium coverage, decent wear time, and a slightly radiant finish, I would definitely recommend Sheseido Revitalessence Skin Glow. For me, it’s going to be part of my regular rotation going forward.
