I recently purchased the Danessa Myricks Groundwork Defining Neutrals Palette, simply because it looked completely different than anything I own. (And because I have a few other products by her, and they are all amazing and unique!).
This palette is different in a few ways:
- It’s all matte shades
- Each color comes in both powder and pomade formula
- It can be used all over the face – eyeshadow, liner, lip liner, contour and brows
How it works is that each color has two different pots – one is a powder, one is a pomade, which allows you to use it in different ways on the face. For instance, I am using the “core” color in the pomade formulation to gently enhance the color of my eyebrows. (Perfect for you redheads out there!). And I have been using the darker colors as eyeliners using a stiff eye brush. “Chiseled” is great for contour, and all of the colors are great for eyeshadow.
It’s a game-changing palette and I hope to see more of these from Danessa Myricks in the future. But for now, I can easily see myself traveling with this and adding in one of the Hourglass palettes to create some complete looks!
