I recently purchased the Dior All-In-One Makeup Palette ($140) from Nordstrom after receiving a consultation from Ellen, a Dior Makeup Artist. When I first saw the palette, I was not very interested – it looked like a lot of cooler tones that wouldn’t look great on me. But when the products were applied, I was pleasantly surprised that the palette was much more neutral toned!
The palette consists of everything you need for a full face, in a beautiful couture case:
- 4 lip shades, ranging from a nude to a deep wine – can be worn sheer or built up
- 1 large highlighting powder in a champagne color – a great shade that is not too shimmery
- 5 neutral to pink to deeper brown eyeshadows – can be used for both an everyday look and a more dramatic nighttime look
- Two rose-toned blushes, one pale and one deep – combine the two for a custom color
- Three brushes (two eye, one face) – which I probably won’t use because I am a makeup brush snob
As with all Dior products, they apply beautifully and blend seamlessly, especially the eyeshadows.
I think this is a great palette for the holidays, and because it is neutral, it would make a great gift for anyone on your list. What is really nice about this palette is that it isn’t too holiday or evening focused. I can easily see myself using it everyday, and also taking it on a trip as my one palette, because of its versatility.
