There’s a new brand available at Sephora called Hello Sunday. They have six prouducts, all focused on SPF (hence the cute name!). And because I can’t resist trying a new sunscreen, I purchased three of their products:
- The Everyday One SPF 50 Face Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid($22)
- The One for Your Lips SPF 50 Hydrating Lip Balm with Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane($12)
- The Invisible One SPF 50 Hydrating Sunscreen and Primer with Hyaluronic Acid($28)
About the products – they are all cruelty free, gluten free and are free of many of the questionable ingredients: parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, sulfates SLS & SLES, triclocarban and triclosan.
I have to say that I am really loving these products, especially during the 90+ degree weather we have been having here in New Jersey. I also love their price point – definitely reasonable for products like this. So let’s dive deeper into each of the products.
The Everyday One SPF 50 Face Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid ($22) is a great weightless moisturizer for the summer. It’s hydrating without being too much during the day, especially on those hot, humid days. Application is smooth, isn’t sticky, and doesn’t leave a white cast. It dries pretty quickly, too, so it works well under makeup
The One for Your Lips SPF 50 Hydrating Lip Balm with Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane ($12) is a great SPF lip balm. It goes on very shiny (but not sticky) with a light strawberry candy scent. It is completely clear and does leave a really nice gloss. The texture doesn’t lend itself to being a base coat for lipstick, but it is great over lip liners, which is how I am using it. It does have that lip balm SPF flavor that most similar products do, but it isn’t so overwhelming to be an issue.
The Invisible One SPF 50 Hydrating Sunscreen and Primer with Hyaluronic Acid ($28) is a really great primer with the added bonus of an SPF 50. It applies very smoothly and does a great job as a primer. It does have the silicone slippy feel to it, which I like but others may not like. I actually have been using this both with and without makeup, because it does have a very subtle blurring effect which looks lovely.
Overall, I’m loving the products that I have tried and am looking forward to trying others. Have you tried anything by Hello Sunday? Comment and let me know your thoughts!
