I recently purchased the Tatcha Indigo Cleansing Balm ($38) to try it out. I’m already a fan of their other cleansers – I had been using the Rice Wash during the summer when my skin is less dry and the Camelia Cleansing Oil the rest of the year. I really liked them both for different reasons, but I wanted to try out the new balm to see how it compared.
After using it for a week or so, I can say that this is a great addition to the Tatcha line, and I will be using it often going forward!
To use the balm, you just warm it up in your hands and gently massage it onto your face for a minute or so. I will also use a warm washcloth to massage it in just a bit as I am rinsing my face.
Some of the pleasant surprises with this balm:
- While it appears to come in a small container, you don’t need a lot of it. It comes with a small disc to scoop out the product, and the disc has a line to show you how much you need. And it isn’t lying – you really don’t need much to wash your entire face!
- It cleanses well without leaving my skin feeling tight and dry, nor does it leave that oily/slimy film when you are done cleansing.
- It does an amazing job with eye makeup, even waterproof eyeliner and mascara.
- It didn’t sting my eyes, and also didn’t make my vision blurry from a hazy film. This happens with a lot of either balm or oil based cleansers, but not with Tatcha!
Have you tried this new balm cleanser? If so, let me know what you think!
