I was recently told about the new lip balm by Ole Hendrickson, called Pout Preserve Peptide Lip Treatment ($22 each), and decided that I wanted to try it. I’m obsessed with finding a great lip balm that hydrates, lasts and has color. I went into Sephora and they were out of almost all of the colors, so I thought that was a good sign of a good product. I purchased both of the available colors and tried them almost immediately. It was a really cold, windy day and my lips needed as much help as I could give them!
And wow, I am so glad I purchased them. So glad that I went back and purchased other colors!
The lip balm is so hydrating and actually lasts a long time. The colors are great (everything from clear to pink to purple to brown) and comes in both shimmer and high shine finish. I haven’t used them enough to tell if they plump my lips overall, or if they provide any long-term benefits. But they have been great for instant dry lip relief!
They do have fragrance and taste, but both of them are actually pleasant. (There’s nothing worse than a lip balm with a bad taste.)
I think what I love most about the product is that the texture is slightly thicker than most lip balms. Because of that, the color is stronger and the product stays on my lips for a longer time. One problem with thinner balms is that they have a tendency to migrate outside of my lip line, but not with this lip treatment!
Of all of the ones I have purchased, these are my favorite:
- Lingonberry Jam Glimmer
- Cocoa Creme
- Citrus Sunshine
But honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of them!
