Last week I finally purchased the three new Prada Light Glowing Highlighter Power ($90 each) from Nordstrom. I had heard amazing things about them, and decided it was time to jump in and try them. And I am so glad I did. These highlighters are pure perfection, especially for more mature skin.
The highlighters come in three shades:
01 – Champagne
02 – Pink
03 – Deep
The highlighters are described as “a glowing, weightless highlighter that effortlessly blends onto skin for an up to 24-hour refined, pearlescent look.” And that description is extremely accurate. The first thing I noticed is how seamlessly they blend into the skin. They feel like velvet and don’t have any texture or glitter. All that’s left after application is a lit-from-within glow that lasts all day. (Not sure about 24 hour wear, but I NEVER wear anything for that long!). They remind me of the Gucci Highlighters (see my review here) but with a less gel-like texture and a more subtle highlight.
I purchased all three colors, and I see myself actually using all of them. Today I used 03-dark on my temples and in the crease in my eyes, and the other two as both eyeshadows and highlighters on my cheekbones.
My only gripe about these highlighters is the packaging. Like all Prada Beauty products, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous. Weighty, opens easily, with a nice size mirror. And it’s refillable! But the mirrored case, while beautiful, does immediately collect fingerprints. Not a deal-breaker, though.
